RoboKeeper

The RoboKeeper is a state-of-the-art robotic goalkeeper that transforms any area into a challenge field, ideal for adding excitement and high-tech interaction to fan zones for soccer, hockey, and other sports.

It consists of an autonomous system with an articulated goalkeeper that moves at supersonic speeds, connected to a sophisticated artificial vision system.

Two Types of Sports Experiences

  • Soccer Mode (Penalties)
Participants shoot from the 9-meter spot to beat the goalkeeper.
The robot, equipped with cameras that capture 90 images per second, calculates the ball’s trajectory and launches to stop the shot with an acceleration 17 times faster than a Formula 1 car.
A perfect challenge to recreate the thrill of a penalty shootout.

  • Hockey/Disc Sports Mode (Adaptability)
The system can be calibrated to intercept shots with hockey sticks or other projectiles, adjusting its sensitivity and speed.
Its high-performance gear mechanism allows it to stop shots exceeding 100 km/h, challenging the accuracy of even professional players.

Application in Multi-Sport Events

  • Fan Zones: A central attraction for fans of different sports to test their aim against the “world’s fastest goalkeeper.”

  • Interactive Experience: Generates spontaneous competitions, real-time rankings, and viral content of users challenging the technology.

  • Brand Activations: An ideal platform for sponsors, with customization options and seven difficulty levels to suit all audiences.

This technology not only amazes with its engineering—developed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute—but also creates epic and highly shareable moments, elevating engagement at any sports venue or corporate event.

How It Works

The RoboKeeper’s “eyes” are two cameras that capture up to 90 images per second.

Positioned above the goal, they locate the ball and instantly track its trajectory.

An image processing software uses these captures to calculate the ball’s probable point of impact on the goal. This information is transmitted in real time to the motor control, responsible for setting the goalkeeper in motion.

All of this happens within fractions of a second; after all, a well-kicked ball can easily exceed 100 km/h.

The penalty spot is located about 9 meters away, leaving only 0.3 seconds to position the goalkeeper, which is attached to a high-performance gear mechanism, in the right place.

In this process, the RoboKeeper accelerates 17 times faster than a Formula 1 car. Even professional soccer players have experienced how difficult it is to score against it.

To ensure a fair challenge for everyone, it can be manually set to one of its seven difficulty levels, thus adapting to each player’s skill level.

No matter how fast you kick or how well you aim, the RoboKeeper will stop almost every shot.

It’s not luck or magic—it’s cutting-edge technology that makes it the fastest goalkeeper in the world.
